Mercy’s K9 Rescue needs help badly due to losing their property. Their property got sold and they are looking for people to either adopt one of their dogs or donate if they can. For the last 30 years they ran a kennel and dog training business in South Ontario, but due to the economy the status of their operation is in danger.

They do not know what will happen due to the terms of the sale and after the deal was closed with the new owner.

There are over 20 dogs to consider, and the owners want as many of them adopted so nothing unfortunate happens such as having to take them to the overburdened humane society. The owners of the rescue deeply care about their dogs and work with them so they can be well mannered for your home.

If anyone knows any affordable place where they could relocate and house their dogs, or know of an attorney who can negotiate with the new owners for low cost it would be highly appreciated.

Even though there are signs printed throughout our city stating that fireworks are illegal to set off even if they are safe and sane, people are still detonating them. Fireworks are even for sale at booths near the Ontario Mills mall. I know people could go to cities that allow them and bring them here even though it is illegal, but if its illegal in Ontario then the Ontario Police needs to buddy up with the fire department to seize the fireworks sold in Ontario such as the ones sold at the Ontario Mills parking lot.

If people want fireworks go to a professional display. Not everyone wants to hear stuff going off until July 5th.

Also we should have bomb sniffing dogs on duty on the California agriculture inspection station for 10 days leading to July 4th so we could seize all the illegal fireworks entering our state from Nevada. This is one issue that we need to work with our county supervisors and our state legislators. Perhaps the fines from all the morons who smuggle these explosives should break even the cost of staffing the station.

For 2012, the Ontario police needs to go on undercover arresting sprees to go after the violators perhaps just like how they arrest people who shoot guns in the air on New Years Day. Why spend the money on the signs when the regulations are not being enforced?

Hot weather does not mix if it is with children or animals. Recently a stupid woman spent three hours at the Ontario Mills mall and left her now dead puppy in her car because she was too lazy to take it home. The dog was rescued, but it had severe heat stroke and had to be put down.

The woman who owned the car where the incident occurred will face felony animal abuse charges.

Maybe we should make it legal for people to break the car window to rescue a young child or an animal on a very hot day, as long as you have a witness and call the police in advance.

However there are some informative tips in this article from the Animal Planet Pets blog.

I did not vote for Ovitt in 2004, 2006 or 2010. I knew that Ontario was famous for corrupt politicians and voted for his opponent in each election. I also never voted for Schwarzenegger and voted Libertarian Party on his two elections as well.

I am also glad that redevelopment agencies are being killed in California. Redevelopment agencies namely in places such as Ontario led to all this corruption that has taken place in Ontario, Upland and San Bernardino County.

I know redevelopment agencies do noble things, but taxpayers end up getting ripped off from all the sweetheart development deals that get made where in Ontario, two developers get a parcel of land for 45 thousand when it was valued at 8 million dollars. Redevelopment agencies are hotbeds of corruption and I am glad Governor Brown is pulling the plug. The same folks who are responsible for the Colonies Scandal are part of the earlier 6th and Mountain scandal. That is why the Colonies developers were the fairy godfathers to Supervisor Ovitt.

It seems likely something will happen with Supervisor Ovitt in the near future, I hope all political figures and major donors in San Bernardino County learn from these experiences so they do not have to lawyer up or face jail charges and just serve the common people instead of trying to make their cronies rich.

Wal-Mart in Ontario is one of the most popular search engine topics that lead to my website. The existence of a Wal-Mart in Ontario has been a deeply controversial issue in my community.

The former Target at Fifth and Mountain has been vacant for nearly a decade, where Wal-Mart basically pays 2-3 people to patrol a vacant lot because they refuse to bulldoze it for years.

People are worried about increased traffic, more crime, more noise and perhaps the local Albertsons shutting down because Wal-Mart will obviously have lower prices. However the issue is mostly a NIMBY issue, (Not In My Backyard) where people in the southern part of the city or people in Montclair saying, “We want our new Wal-Mart” and it would be nice not having to go to Chino for our shopping needs. But this will also lead to the Wal-Mart in Upland to be shut down as well, so there would not be a huge increase in the number of people employed in the store.

If we also want to reduce the worries about traffic, how about we build a bridge across sixth street and people could use the parking lot on the new Wal-Mart and the parking garage that the city of Ontario illegally spent redevelopment money to build for the movie theater. If there are more arteries for people to shop at the Super Wal-Mart we would not have to worry about congestion as much.

If we are worried that Albertsons will shutter down, in Corona there is a Vons right near the Super Wal-Mart!

I did suggest in a previous post that building a Wal-Mart on a lot on Fourth and Vineyard in Ontario might be a better idea because we can handle the traffic on the huge parcel of land there.

I am not against Wal-Mart for all its faults, but its about placing it in an appropriate parcel that would be respectful of traffic, environment and the concerns of the residents is the big factor in all of it.

If worse comes to worse we could always have a telethon and buy that parcel of land from Wal-Mart and designate it as open space.

If it is true that Supervisor and former mayor of the city Ontario gets arrested for his alleged political corruption, I guess the city of Ontario will have to rename the city library because one, some of these crimes were related to him being city councilman and mayor, and two we should not reward a black stain in the history of our city.

So to help the Ontario city council, the readers here can help choose a new name. Some of these people may be still living, but these individuals have a connection to libraries or the city of Ontario itself.

The poll software is not working right, but the choices right now is: Jack Mercer, band leader Frank Zappa, musician Beverley Cleary, Children’s Author and Debbie Acker, former council woman who sniffed out corruption before it was cool like in Bell, California.

Right now it is one in the morning and I have been enduring some horrific issues with a new resident who lives two or three doors from me.

The man allegedly is a LAPD officer and he likes to unwind by playing loud Spanish language dance music and run hammers and buzsaws at the late of nights when most people are in bed. I do like my music loud, but I also think of my neighbors.

The individual has had several calls to the Ontario police for him to pipe it down, but since he is probably a fellow boy in blue he will likely be allowed to torment his neighbors and nothing will likely be done. I bet if he ran a dog fighting ring, the Ontario police would be doing something.

I might just fire up my loud music in retaliation. Not everyone shares your musical tastes. Until the officer pipes his music down, I should also have the right to play it loud. Police officers should not get special rights to violate municipal codes.
